Last post before Christmas xx

I hope that you are all on the good list when Santa makes his visit tonight, and if for some reason you are not........ Then I hope that you have had a bloody good time and made it worth the naughty list he he.

My last post before Christmas.... hopefully not before the New Year, but I'll see how I go, I'm going to be a bit time poor up until then arggghhh.

Just wanted to pop by quickly to show you the last of the layouts that I have created for Bev's Cross Craft. I absolutely love this range....... Kaisercraft new Class Act. Fantastic for the back to school LO or just school in general. I only had time to create 2 pages with this range so far, but I have heaps of paper left and am going to do a few more with it for sure. (As soon as i find the other back to school pics that I have somewhere).

Here is the first page of My Little Fella- These pics, one was taken on the first day and the other on the last day of the year. I know not a lot of difference is there. I know that he has grown but don't see a lot of difference in his overall appearance. But he sure is cute LOL

The next page is of My two kids and My Sister that moved in with us for a better education. WOW what a year it has been with 2 teenagers in the house (not sure how I survived LOL) What a great year they all had academic, really could be prouder or expect anymore. So we went from 2 students in the house to 3, oh my poor little car running around for the 3 of them. Now that all after school activities are finished feel like I can breathe a sign of relief, MAN has it been hectic, until it starts again next year. We will have Grades 3,8 and 10 going back OMG.
Well that me done, I hope that you all have a fantastic Christmas with Friends and Family and a great new year and I will see you back after the Silly Season is over YAY!!!
Thanks for coming by and seeing what I have been up to, I do like visitors xxx

Winner of STG Birthday hop

Sorry for the delay in announcing the winner of the Scrap the Girls Birthday hop, I got 9 new followers that I hope I can give some sort of inspiration too. The winner is Kylie Smith. Kylie can you please email me your address and I will get the RAK out to you ASAP. Thanks to everyone that participated, I hope that you all had a great time and find some inspiration along the way.

Well I have been a little quiet on the scrapbooking front in the last month but I have a few LO's to share that I have complete to go on display at My local Scrapbooking store Bev's Cross Craft. I have been able to play with a couple of ranges that are about to hit the store from Kaisercraft. The first one that I will share is the Botanical Odyssey range.

Here is the first one, This is pictures from a school excursion to Shale Road at Latrobe. Where Brit and her friend made Rock cakes. Brit's friend actually looks like she is thinking about taking a bite, mmmmm looks yummy!!
This range has some gorgeous colours in it and can be used for a range of subjects.
The next one is pics taken at My 30th Birthday party, what a great night with family and friends. This LO has some very dear friends to me. That I don't catch up with enough, maybe a new year's resolution right there, hey!! And of course a pic of my Baby Girl that drives me nuts lately....... Maybe it is because we are so alike (or just moody NEVER he he) I couldn't tell you how many time I have heard someone comment on how much a like we are.

Well thanks for looking come back real soon, I have another range to share with you in the next day or two.
Hope that you are all getting organised for Christmas. I do love the time spent with Family on the day, BUT the lead up to it just drives me bonkers. At least we have curbed the gift giving list this year and changed it to just purchasing for the kids. Much better.

Little Announcement! and some scrappy shares.

Well it has been decided that I am going to host a Tassie Scrapbooking retreat....... Arghhhh I think I can, I think I can...... With some help from some lovely ladies, it is going to be a ball. I really can't wait. The details are, if you are interested in attending.
12-14 April 2013
Camp Banksia, Port Sorell Tas 7307. This is still in the planning stage and unsure of cost as yet. Workshop will be conducted over the weekend, Great for Beginner to Advance Scrapper, We will try to make it interesting and inspirational for everyone. Anyone interested in coming or sponsoring drop me a line.

And now for some scrappy shares of the latest that I have been working on, proudly sponsored by Bev's Cross Craft in Devonport Tas. This month Bev gave me some more Kaisercraft ranges to play with. The first I have had time to play with is Secret Admirer. Now this range looks beautiful and colourful which is OK for me, But, Floral stumps me a little.......

The First one I really like how it came together (Excuses the slightly blurry pic). This is one of the photo's from My Best Friends wedding. Love this pic I think that is one of my fav from the gorgeous day.

The next one is a pic from My own Wedding back in 2008. This one if a couple of great girls that I have meet though working at the CBA and made great friendship with. They really did have a big special impact on Our Wedding day. Organising me LOL. Which is NO small task he he. 10 Weeks out from the date I had no dress, no flowers, no cake and you could only guess what else wasn't organised. But it all came together beautifully on the day and I really wouldn't change a thing. Even the dodgy Wedding singer LOL ( u had to be there he he)

Heading back to the desk very soon to play with a couple more special treats from Bev, so stay tuned.
Thanks for coming by to visit.

Scrap the Girls November

Hi people's, Hope that you are all well, and getting ready for the Big Fella to arrive soon..... I know that I need to pull my finger out and get it all sorted.

Over at Scrap the Girls this month we really do have a great challenge to document those moments forever. This months challenge is to use a LIST Now this can be any sort of list and the CT has really outdone themselves with inspiration this month, Lots of inspiration and ideas.
With my layout I decided to document Brit's year 2012, I love the idea of this and can't believe that I have never thought to do it before, think I have found a new take on my layouts and how to record all those precious years to look back on later, and what special events or achievements have happened over the year. Will be doing one for my little fella for 2012 very soon.

OK if you have read all that, then congrats and thankyou lol....

Here is my LO for the challenge......

I have used the new Kaisercraft Secret Admirer range on this page, Thanks to my local scrapbooking store for giving me this range to play with. This LO will eventually be on display at Bev's Cross Craft in Devonport Tas. This range was a challenge in a way to use, I do scrap with some colourful ranges but never really floral. I think I went with a safe option with the greens. But really does show case the photo (well I think it does).

I had better get moving and creating a few more LO's I have been a little slack lately and being on STG CT has been great for me, Because I have to scrap at least one page a month. Otherwise I'm not sure that I would hit the desk sometimes.

Thanks for the visit and feel free to leave some love I do love to read what you all think

November Scrap the Girls

This month at Scrap the Girls, It's a colour challenge. This one was using colours that I have never scrapped together before. I found it a bit of a challenge (isn't it suppose to be lol) but I enjoyed the challenge and do like how my page turned out.
So the colours to use are Orange and Teal and this is what mine layout looks like...
I do love these photo's of my daughter, showcasing her attitude. The title reads "this girl had attitude at 3yo and even more as teenager". Truer words have never been spoken OMG Girls are hard work at time. But I am very proud that she is her own person! Still a poser though he he!!

Come on give this months challenge ago, maybe they are colours that you love and have scrapped before, or like me a new colour combo to challenge you. Head HERE to give it ago. Look forward to seeing what you come up with. Check out the other CT designs if you need more inspiration.

Happy Scrapping
xx

Slack Blogger :(

Well I have been a little quiet last month in the scrapping department, I didn't even do one challenge last month, apart from my Scrap the Girls CT sample. I did do one workshop with the Lovely Ladies in Queenstown, It looked like this....

And here is few LO's that I did for Bev's Cross Craft in Devonport, This is using the Kaisercraft Mint Twist collection. Oh I really did love playing with this collection.

Have just had a bit of a makeover in the Scrap room, I brought all the new white shelving from Chickenfeed for $110.00 and assembled it all myself, Needs some fine tuning in the organisational part, BUT it's a lot better than it was a now ready to messy up again, Hoping that this change with kick start my MOJO to get some pages knocked out!!! Lets hope. Anyway this is what it looks like after tonight's efforts....

Still a bit messy in the left hand corner, BUT I'll get there, OMG it is scary when you start organising supplies and see how much stuff you really have, And still I want and need MORE.... Don't tell Hubby though... SHHHHHH he he

Glad you had TIME to stop by!!

Hi thanks for popping on by for our monthly blog hop, This months theme was TIME suggested by me as it seems that I have a shortage of time, and of course it can't be from poor time management lol. NEVER.
Isn't it funny how we are always complain about not having enough time to get the things done that we want to get done. How much time would be enough??? What would you really do if you had TIME to do it? Oh I could think of so much. Sometime is probably not time that is the problem but maybe motivation? Maybe?
I am someone that doesn't worry if the house is spotless, and can quite happy sit in a messy room, taking some me time and scrapping my little heart out and making more mess. Where the rest of my family have to have everything all neat and tidy and torment me at every chance about my house keeping efforts. But they know I wil never change.
If only I physically got what I had in mind, OMG I would achieve so much, I gotta tell you that I am not the most organised person and most of the time I do leave everything to the last minute ( ummm that's why I am still getting my blog post done late Thursday night hmmmm) But my Best Friend always says that yes I do leave things to the last minute and there is no point in nagging me, but I do seem to always get there in the end. (maybe a little late he he)
I spend most of my time running around after the kids, cooking, attempting to clean & tidy and can't resist some me time wether that be scrapbooking or just looking at all the insparation on the big wide web (since doscovering blogging, it's a whole new ball game of jacking my TIME)  it still me time, and everyone needs me time!!

Here's some pics from a recent weekend that I had with my Sister combo's, We scrapped all weekend, not much sleep was had. Still can't stay up as late a Loren. OMG night owl.

Here's is a couple of recent LO, where I have been playing with the Just released, Butterfly Kisses from Kaisercraft. I was lucky to get to play with it a little early when asked to do some work for my local scrapbooking store, Bev's Cross Craft.
Here they are............

How cute is this pic of My little Niece, Isn't she just adorable. This one always make me think I'm gonna getcha...... It's a very bright page hey!

This one I played with texture paste a crafters workshop template and then just coloured some of the words with markers. The title is a WOW one that I have cut up to separate the words and then just coloured and used a white pen around the outside. Love this LO, the pics a so cool of My daughter and her friend on a recent sleepover!!

This one is another of one of my Nieces, How fast do the little ones catch on to technology now, OMG. Here is Skye paying with her Ice Pod as she calls it, She uses it to play games, what a look of concentration.

I was very lucky to get to play with this great range. If you live in Tassie or on visit the North West coast pop into Bev's and have a look and some of the great stuff that she has available!!

I hope that you have made TIME to get around to all the girls to have a look at what Fabulous stuff they have put together, you should have come from Chloe's and on to see Kerri next.

Here is the list Just in case you get lost and need to come back to find your way again

Karen That's me and you are here
Sonia

Well thankyou for taking the TIME to come a visit and if you have got this far, boy you need a medal. Please let me know that you have been by leaving me a comment. Have a great weekend and make sure that you take some TIME out to do something for your selves. And last by not least......

GO
THE
HAWKS!!!

See you back here soon!

Frosted Designs

First time playing with Frosted designs, Had last weeks on my to-do list but ran out of time to complete it, Looking back this week and the challenge was triangle I couldn't resist as I had been working on Christmas LO and what say Christmas more than Triangle Christmas Trees. So I have given it ago this time round and am quite happy with how it came together.

Here what I have put together.
I have used a few triangles in the Christmas trees and also on the photo corners, Lots of points on the LO as well. So how easy is this challenge to have a go at, If you wanna have a go yourself go HERE and give it ago yourself.
TFL back soon, I have to start working on a blog hop scheduled for Friday so stay posted!!

Kaiser sketch challenge #3 September

Hi long time between post, but I have been busy. I have done some work for my local scrapbooking store. Bev's Cross Craft. I was given some of the new ranges to play with and loved #3 sketch although the sketch was a little daunting to start with. I shrunk the sketch down so that it didn't cover the whole page, and centered it to the middle.

Here is what the sketch looked like to start with......
I have used Mint Twist range for this LO love the colours and the die cuts are soooo cute.

Products other that Kaiser used, Kare Foster Alphas and Tim Holtz die.
Love playing with the range and happy with the results, will be heading back to the Kaisercraft site for some more sketch challenges.
Will have a heap more Kaiser LO to upload very soon, Will start with some more Mint Twist LO and then some other that I have been working on!!
TFL and come back again soon, will try not to have such a delay in posts.

Scrap the Girls September Challenge

Who's ready for the new challenge a Scrap the Girls, this month the challenge is to use Action or Sport photos.
Now this one I had to have a think about because my Daughter and action don't really go together lol. No to be fair she does play netball and has played basketball, but I haven't actually taken pics of her playing, It was either too wet or I don't know I always worry about taking pics at public sporting events. So use to the rule at school of only being able to take pics of your own kids now. Silly I know. So this challenge has made me realise that I do need to capture pics of her playing sports, just to keep the memories that she did play sport lol.

So the pics I have used are of My Daughter and Youngest Sister (one that also live with us to go to school) running in the 3 legged race on Australia Day in Strahan this year. A similar pic to these ones actually made it into our local paper (The Advocate).

Here is my pic.
Now for those that follow or come and visit regular will have seen a few Australia Day LO lately (I finally got them printed). It is our Families favourite day, and this is not because we are fiercely patriotic. It's because we always have a great Family day in Strahan, It is something that I have been able to give to my children that was a big enjoyable part of my childhood, I use to love the day as much as they do. I think we have only missed one year down there out of 5 as a Family. It's a high light on the kids calendar and they eagerly compete in all the competitions. For my Son it doesn't mean winning just getting a lollipop is good enough lol.

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to scrap those gorgeous girl in your lives in action, I will look out for them and pop on by and let you know that I have come for a visit.
Have a great Father's Day tomorrow and see you back again sometime soon

Yellow

First of all thanks for coming to visit, I do love visitors. When asked if I wanted to again participate in another blog hop, I of course said yes, and then the Idea of a colour theme came up, that was all good and then the colour was suggested YELLOW. OMG would have to be my least favourite colour, and while looking for yellow for the past few weeks, it would appear that I don't wear yellow, I don;t scrap yellow and I don't really have anything yellow. But going through my pics I remembered I did have something yellow.

Nearly 6 mths ago I finally got to get chickens!! I had to wait 10 years lol. I'm know I am pretty sad, every since I was little I and use to spend a bit of time with My Nan, and she had soooo many chickens, along with ducks and dreaded geese (insert big shiver) I don't like geese. But I always wanted to have my own free range eggs. After we brought out new property with a couple of acres, quite a change from our suburban yard. My hubby finally agreed to to let me have chickens. Now came the task of finding time to make them a house and yard. We had a cubby house that was no longer used with my little fella 6 and not into cubby houses, that was to become the coop. So for my birthday this year I requested that My lil brother and hubby with a little help from my brother in law,  to build me a chicken yard. It looks like this....

They are very cleaver aren't they, we have since built another yard onto it as well, more space for them to roam.

These are our little chicks and mother that where given to us, We still have all of them including 3 roosters (lovely at 4:30, let me tell you!!! My little fella just adores them all and cuddles and picks them up everyday, including the roosters. He is now waiting patiently for one to go broody to catch babies chicks for the first time.

I mean come on how cute are they little YELLOW fluffy balls of cute.

And with all the chicks come of course the good part, The eggs, record today of 8 eggs collected in the one day. We have an inudation of eggs at the moment and have to have egg night once a week, Could think of worse for tea!

and before I go just a little page of the new pets that I did a while ago, Karen's Funny Farm!

Well thanks for visiting as I am first on the list here is where you are headed from here.

Enjoy the hop I will follow you around to see what the girls have put together!!

Kraft it Up and The Scrapbook store challenges

Just a really quick post, sleep deprivation has set in (yawn) so tired. Another challenge that I completed this weekend was a sketch challenge at Kraft It up. The sketch looked like this
this is what I came up with, not completely happy but arrrr another memory!! The pics of my Niece's are soooo cute, cuddled up together. Sweet.

And now for The Scrapbook Store sketch challenge, this is the first time I have had a go over there, Loved the sketch and happy with the result for this one. So the sketch looked like this...
And this is what I came up with..
I made the sketch a little bigger taking up most of the page, Love all the little embellies. This LO really does suit my Daughter, she loves to sing all the time, everyday, Some day she drives me nuts because she literally doesn't stop. Just recently she made me very proud... She sang in front of her school, a High school non the less too. With her being only in grade 7, I'm really not too sure where she got her confidence from, but am very proud that she had the drive to go for her dreams xxx

Thanks for coming by to visit.

Scrappy weekend

I had my Sisters up this weekend from the West Coast for a scrappy weekend, Oh my late late nights and early mornings. Earliest bed time was 2am and 7am wake up. Needless to say that today I am soooo tired. But it was a good weekend, I made lasagna for tea the night before they all arrived so that we wouldn't have to worry about what to have, which turned out really well. Yummy
Before we started scrapping we visited just about every scrap store on the North West coast for a little bit of shopping including Spot Light. My Niece was so good while we were shopping we had a little bit of fun in Spot light with the masks. She is sooo cute.

Nice little Selfie in there as well lol.

This last picture of my Niece has a funny story that I wanted to share, while sitting in spotlight waiting for some fabric to be cut, She say "Aunty Karen you have green eyes" Me "yes I do" Skye "what colour are mine" Me "yours are blue" Skye " not their not your just tricking me. Me" Yes they are I'll take a picture to show you. Click Skye" I don't want blue I want green like you. Then We have to convince her by saying that it's OK cause her Mummy has blue eyes to, she is OK with this now and then as we are walking out she say " I will change and have green eyes next week" LOL how cute is she???

OK onto the scrapping news....

I completed the least amount of pages with a total amount 5 pages completed. I did complete the 6th one yesterday after the girls had left yesterday and still have a few on my list to complete. Think I will have a go again tonight, feeling crabby and frustrated so might make me feel better, grrrr one of those day. Guessing it has something to do with lack of sleep and having trouble sleeping with Hubby not home. lucky Hubby is living it up in Singapore, Nice for some hey. ( He is actually work but at least in not the mundane usual I guess).

Anyway on with what I actually got completed.....

I completed the Scrap the boy challenge for this month, the challenge was to use/ be inspired by your children's art work.

Loving these pics of my little fella, he loves to come scrapping with me, when he feels like it. He always pics out the same stamp set to play with, Stampin Ups monster I have used the little monster that he stamped and coloured. I think that they are sooo cute and he does a good job. You can see from the pick that he is pretty pleased with his efforts.

And next I had a go at a couple of Stuck?! sketches. First one is Bonus Sketch #2

This is what the sketch looked like.

And this is what I came up with, looks a little plain compared to usual.
A cute pic of My Daughter and our dog Bella, Bella is so hard to get a good pic of because she is so dark. Papers all Stampin Up, was a great sketch to use up some scraps.
And then the next one I had a go at was Stucks August 15th Sketch. It looks like
And this is what I came up with.
I did a mirror image of this one. Really love the colours in this LO and the pic of My Hubby and Niece are pretty cute really. She is showing her colours on Australia Day. I have used Material instead of the usual PP.

I know it's a long post and if you got this far thanks for looking. Please come back again will put some more pages up soon.

First Challenge for the Month

I'm a bit slack on the challenges this month...... But have 3 Sister coming to scrap with me all next weekend, and I am so excited about it, can't wait. Hubby will be in Singapore and kids will be organised (lucky I don't have young ones and they can feed themselves lol) I have next Thursday and Friday off and we will hit the scrap shops on Friday ready to get lots completed. List of Challenges to do......
But I have completed the challenge at Anna's Scrap cupboard, I love a good sketch challenge, makes it easier knowing where to put the papers.
I decided to scrap one of my fav pics of My Best friend and I, taken at My Hubby's 30th Birthday a few years ago. Feel that we don't get to see each other very often anymore, with a new baby in her house and me working everyday, Life just seems to move to fast.
Anyway here is what the sketch looked like.
And here's what I did. I really did stick to the sketch on this one.

I find it really hard to get nice pics of my pages with white background. Anyone got any good tips. Took them in full light, maybe need to take on better camera instead of Iphone?? But phone makes it soooo easy he he.

TFL and come back soon, let me know you have been for a visit too!!

Another workshop this weekend done!

Well life has been a little busy, with workshops on the West Coast in Queenstown, Lots happening every couple of weeks, time for a bit of me scrapping this weekend....

With out delay, Here is a workshop that I did for the CWA, wasn't a huge turn out but I had fun creating this little Father's Day gift idea. Even if I was still creating at 2.30am on the morning of the workshop, due to be in Queenstown at 1pm (a 2 1/2 hour drive) with another workshop to do that night also, not even put together yet mind you. I so wish that I was one of those super organised people, like one of my Best Friends, actually I would be happy with just organised leaving the super lol.

Anyway here is a couple of pics of the first class...

Not a great pic (can't wait for my studio to arrive for much better pics) Inside the card I have created a little pocket for a gift card or some scratchies of something like that.

And the next one was a page of course, It was a quick put together after being really stressed out after a call from my Husband to say that our dogs had gone missing grrrr.
I really like how it turned out, loving the backgroud that I created using a mask and stamps!

Loving the stars

TFL Peeps, come back soon to see what I have been up to, and what challenges I can get done this month. Have my Sisters coming up toward the end of the month, so I am starting my list of to do now. You know how you plan a scrappy day and then sit there with your mojo gone AWOL
